New York City FC are off to Montreal this Saturday

New York City FC will be looking to bounce back after their disappointing 3-1 loss to the Red Bulls last weekend when they host the Impact at Yankees Stadium on Saturday evening.

After a strong start in Sunday’s game they conceded three goals in the second half to fall to the Red Bulls for the second time this season. However NYCFC’s players are looking to put that result behind them and focus on repeating the strong performance of June 13th when they defeated Montreal by 3-1.

As NYCFC defender Jeb Brovsky points out: “You can’t forget the result totally, but you have to learn from the mistakes you made. The good thing is you have a chance the next week to prove yourself. We want to take advantage of this chance.”

City will have to do this without the services of midfielder Mix Diskerud who has been called up to the US National Team for the Gold Cup. Diskerud scored in the 76th minute against the Impact when they last met.

We’ll have the game live on the Big Screen upstairs from 8pm and we’re hoping City can return to their winning league form they had been enjoying since their defeat of the Union in early June.
